3.1 Peer Review of PCBS
Implementation of the Code of
Practices of Statistics
In February 2012, a mission of three experts from
European Statistics (Eurostat) conducted a review of
practices in line with the requirement of the National
Strategy for the Development of Official Statistics (NSSD)
2009-2013 and to fulfill the obligations and resolutions
declared by the Statistical Commission of the United
Nations in its 43rd meeting held in February 2012 in
New York. These recommendations encourage statistical
institutions to submit themselves for review, in addition
to being a good practice on an international level.
