Celebration of the Subscription of Palestine to the SDDS
To mark this special event, PCBS organized a celebration at the Movenpick Hotel in Ramallah under the patronage
of Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad. The celebration highlighted the importance of this achievement as a step on
the road to establishing a state. In order to sustain and integrate this national achievement, partner institutions
that had contributed to the establishment and dissemination of SDDS indicators signed a declaration committing
themselves to providing the required data and meeting their obligations to other partners to secure continued
membership of Palestine within SDDS. The declaration was signed under the auspices of Prime Minister Dr.
Salam Fayyad. These signatory institutions, including both sources and producers of data for SDDS, comprise
the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry for Local Governance, the Palestinian Monetary Authority, the Palestine
Exchange, the Palestinian Pension Authority, in addition to PCBS as the national coordinator of SDDS.
