Advisory Council for Official Statistics (ACOS) 2012
The Advisory Council for Official Statistics constitutes a supportive framework to assist PCBS to
fulfill its role and implement tasks to the fullest extent possible. ACOS acts as a national advisory
body and is chaired by the Prime Minister; its members include academics and representatives from
the public, civil and private sectors. The Council holds two regular meetings each year to discuss the
functioning of the PCBS and to address any obstacles or problems, including important issues that
require guidance from the Council.
