Existing Buildings
The value of constructing new buildings and additions in the West Bank increased
by 23.2% compared with 2009.
The cost of current maintenance on existing buildings increased by 17.7% compared
with 2009: the cost value of capital additions, repairs and improvements on buildings
increased by 43.6% for 2010 compared with 2009.

Industry
There were 15,617 enterprises engaged in this sector in the Palestinian Territory .
There were 65,538 individuals employed in these enterprises: 57,753 males and
7,785
females.
The value of output of enterprises in industrial activities was US$2,700.3 million,
intermediate consumption totaled US$1,388.3 million, and the value added with
internal trade activities was US$1,312.0 million.

Tourism
There were 95 operating hotels in December 2010: the average number of rooms
was 4,929 and the average number of beds was 10,543.
During 2010, the total number of guests in hotels in the Palestinian Territory was
577,383,
an increase of 82.2% compared with 1999 and an increase of 27.6%
compared with 2010.
The total number of guest nights was 1,285,661 during 2010, an increase of 43.6%
compared with 1999 and an increase of 23.3% compared with 2009.
There were 1,795 hotel workers: 1,534 males and 261 females. The number of
workers rose by 32.6% during 2010 compared with 1999, reflecting an increase of
19.4%
compared with 2009.
Room occupancy was 35.4% in 2010, an increase of 5.7% compared with 1999 and
an increase of 8.9% compared with 2009. The average length of stay in Palestinian
hotels was 2.2 nights per guest during 2010.
