Services

There were 26,519 enterprises engaged in the services sector in the Palestinian
Territory.
•
There were 92,653 individuals employed in services: 60,524 males and 32,129
females.
•
The value of output of enterprises in the services sector was US$1313.8 million,
intermediate consumption totaled US$342.6 million and the value added was
US$971.2 million.

Internal /Domestic Trade
•
There were 60,226 enterprises engaged in this sector in the Palestinian Territory.
•
There were 121,864 individuals employed in these enterprises: 110,941 males and
10,923
females.
•
The value of output of enterprises in internal trade activities was US$2,258.1
million, intermediate consumption totaled US$399.3 million and the value added
was US$1,858.8 million.

Registered Foreign Trade
•
The total value of imports of commodities increased in 2009 by 3.9% compared to
2008
and totaled US$3,600.8 million compared to US$3,466.2 million in 2008.
