16.1
Transport and Storage
•
There were 521 enterprises engaged in these enterprises in the Palestinian Territory.
•
There were 4,990 individuals employed in these enterprises: 4,714 males and 276
females.
•
The value of output of enterprises in transport and storage activities was US$125.0
million, intermediate consumption was US$38.4 million, while the value added was
US$86.6 million.

Information and Communication:
•
There were 446 enterprises engaged in this sector in the Palestinian Territory.
•
There were 4,377 individuals employed in these enterprises: 3561 males and 816
females.
•
The value of output of enterprises in information and communications activities was
US$588.9 million, intermediate consumption was US$62.1 million, while the value
added was US$526.8 million.

Construction
•
There were 438 enterprises engaged in this sector in the Palestinian Territory.
•
There were 5,754 individuals employed in these enterprises: 5,496 males and 258
females.
•
The value of output of enterprises in the construction sector was US$379.4 million,
intermediate consumption totaled US$202.1 million, and the value added, including
internal trade activities, was US$177.3 million.

Building Licenses
•
The total number of building licenses for the fourth quarter of 2010 rose by 4.8%
compared with the third quarter of 2010. In addition, there was an increase of 2.0%
in the total number of building licenses issued in the fourth quarter of 2010
compared with the fourth quarter of 2009.
•
The number of new dwellings in the fourth quarter of 2010 increased by 27.5%
compared with the same quarter of 2009. There was also an increase of 10.7% in the
number of new dwellings in the fourth quarter of 2010 compared with the third
quarter of 2010.
