Information Society
In 2011, 50.9% of households had a computer compared to 49.2% in 2009.
In 2011, 30.4% of households in the Palestinian Territory had an Internet
connection. 95.0% of households in the Palestinian Territory had a mobile phone.
In 2010, there were 3,790 workers employed in research and development,
representing 2,072 full-time equivalent (FTE) workers.
There were 2,348 researchers, representing 1,312 FTE researchers.

Housing and Housing Conditions
The results of the Housing Conditions Survey in 2010 indicated that 0.9% of
households in the Palestinian Territory lived in a villa , 47.8% lived in a house, and
50.2%
lived in an apartment.
The average housing density in the Palestinian Territory was 1.6 persons per room.
The average for the West Bank was 1.5 compared to 1.8 persons per room in the
Gaza Strip.
According to the results of the Housing Conditions Survey 2010, the average
number of rooms per housing unit in the Palestinian Territory was 3.6: 3.6 in the
West Bank and 3.7 in the Gaza Strip.

Per Capita Monthly Average Expenditure:
Per capita monthly expenditure was 147.3

expenditure on food groups was 53.6 JD: 59.4 JD in the West Bank and 43.9 JD in the
Gaza Strip. Per capita monthly average expenditure on non-food groups was 81.5 JD:
