The total number of schools in the Palestinian Territory in 2010/2011 was 2,652,
comprising 1,975 in the West Bank and 677 in the Gaza Strip.

The total number of students was 1,116,991: 967,300 at basic level and 149,691 at
secondary level.

The average number of students per teacher in schools by supervising authority was
23.0
in government schools, 29.0 in UNRWA schools, and 16.7 in private schools.
