A sharp increase in the consumer price index in the West Bank during April 2026
The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during April 2026 recorded a decrease by 0.75% compared with March 2026 (by 4.41% in Gaza Strip. While, the index increased by 2.08% in the West Bank**, and by 0.73% in Jerusalem J1*).
The changes in Palestinian CPI during April 2026 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during April 2026 decreased by 21.78% compared with April 2025 (42.84% in Gaza Strip. While, the index increased by 3.64% in the West Bank**, and by 3.45% in Jerusalem J1*).
