Environmental statistics relating to educational establishments are very interesting and constitute an important tool in decision making, planning, and public debate. Since there is little data on this subject in the Palestinian Territory, the Palestinian Central Bureau of
Statistics (PCBS) is developing a database covering the environment in educational establishments.
PCBS regularly implements a specialized survey on the environment in relation to the educational sector to provide the required statistics. This survey was conducted during 2012 and covered all educational establishments in the Palestinian Territory, including all the different sectors (governmental sector, UNRWA, private sector, non-governmental organizations).
The main objective of this report is to provide statistical data relating to educational establishments in fields such as:
? External Environmental Factors (noise, smell, dust, smoke)
? Water Consumption and Sources of Supply
? Wastewater
? Solid Waste Management
? Cafeteria in Educational Establishments |
