Palestinian Wholesale Price Index, Fourth Quarter of 2012
Increase in the WPI during 2012
The overall Wholesale Price1 Index (WPI) for the Palestinian Territory with its 2007 base year (2007=100) reached 119.43 in 2012, it increased by 0.93% compared to 2011.
Prices of Wholesale Price Index for 2012 increased due to the increase of manufacturing group by 2.02%.
The price of imported products increased by 2.19%, while the price of local products decreased by 1.08%.
Decrease in the WPI during the Fourth Quarter of 2012
The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in the Palestinian Territory with its base year (2007=100) reached 119.51 in the fourth quarter 2012, which indicates a decrease by 0.77% compared to the third quarter 2012.
Wholesale Price Index for imported products (2007=100) reached 121.48 in the fourth quarter 2012, which indicates an increase by 0.35% compared to the third quarter 2012.
Wholesale Price Index for local products (2007=100) reached 116.74 in the fourth quarter 2012, which indicates a decrease by 3.01% compared to the third quarter 2012.
