Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* during October, 10/2022

Increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 119.74 with an increase of 0.39% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material increased by 0.65%, and the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.16%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

Increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 118.84 with an increase of 0.37% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material increased by 0.60%, and the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.21%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable   during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

Increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.26 with an increase of 1.09% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw materials increased by 1.70%, and the price of rental of equipment increased by 0.17%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

Slightly increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 115.43 with a slight increase of 0.09% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material increased by 0.25%.  While, the prices of operating costs of equipment and maintenance decreased by 0.99%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.15%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

Increase in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* reached 129.12 with an increase of 0.25% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base month January 2010=100).

Water reservoirs Cost Index reached 122.36 with an increase of 1.40%. While, water networks Cost Index reached 132.19 with a decrease of 0.23% during October 2022 compared with September 2022.

Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 115.17 with an increase of 0.23% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base month January 2010=100).

Notice:

1.    Gaza Strip data is not available.

2.    The difference in the percentage change in major groups of roads, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
