Consumer price index in Palestine recorded an increase during October 10/2022

 as a result of the increase in the prices of dried and fresh vegetables,

eggs and potatoes

 

The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during October 2022 recorded an increase by 0.42% compared with September 2022 (0.84% in Gaza Strip, by 0.40% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.30% in the West Bank**).

The changes in Palestinian CPI during October 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during First Ten month of 2022 increased by 3.65% compared with same period of the previous year  (4.56% in Jerusalem J1*, 3.64% in the West Bank**, and by 3.13% in Gaza Strip).

The Palestinian CPI during October 2022 increased by 4.39% compared with October 2021 (5.22% in Jerusalem J1*, 4.44% in the West Bank**, and by 3.74% in Gaza Strip).

*Data represent those parts of Jerusalem, which were annexed by Israeli Occupation in 1967.

 

**Data exclude those parts of Jerusalem, which were annexed by Israeli Occupation in 1967.
