Consumer goods prices return to increase in Gaza Strip during February 2026 as a result of market instability in Gaza Strip

The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during February 2026 recorded an increase by 12.02% compared with January 2026 (37.92% in Gaza Strip, by 0.39% in Jerusalem J1*, and with a slight increase by 0.02% in the West Bank**). 

The changes in Palestinian CPI during February 2026 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during February 2026 increased by 11.61% compared with February 2025 (31.32% in Gaza Strip, by 2.84% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 1.71% in the West Bank**).
