Definition: Detained Persons: Persons deprived of freedom through transference to detention or a prison. Such a measure is sometimes taken against somebody as a preventive measure, if sufficient evidence indicate that their free movement is a threat to public or individual safety. Convicted Persons: Persons found guilty by any legal body duly authorized to do so under national law, whether the conviction was later upheld or not. |
