There were 111,310 agricultural holdings in the Palestinian Territory: 90,908 in the
West Bank, an increase of 81.7%, and 20,402 in the Gaza Strip, an increase of
18.3%
during the agricultural year 2009/2010.

There were 79,175
plant holdings, which
constitutes 71.1% of all
holdings
in
the
Palestinian Territory.
There were 17,894
mixed holdings, which
constitute 16.1% of all
holdings. The total
number of animal
holdings was 14,241
and constituted 12.8%
of all holdings during
the agricultural year
2009/2010.

During the agricultural
year 2009/2010, the
area of cultivated land
was 957.2 Km

which
is 15.9% of the total
area of the Palestinian
Territory.

There were 34,097
breeding cattle in the
Palestinian Territory: 24,462 in the West Bank and 9,635 in the Gaza Strip on
01/10/2010.

There were 568,287 breeding sheep in the Palestinian Territory: 506,884 in the West
Bank and 61,403 in the Gaza Strip on 01/10/2010.
•
There were 220,085 breeding goats in the Palestinian Territory: 207,935 in the West
Bank and 12,150 in the Gaza Strip on 01/10/2010.
