Main Purpose of Production of the Holding:
The main purpose of the production, which is mainly either for sale or for household consumption. Mainly means half or more of the agricultural production through the agricultural year.

Universe

The frame of the Agricultural Census 2010 includes a complete record of holdings by households and collaborative institutions. The frame was prepared by listing all holders through visiting every household, using maps to reach all addresses

Imputation and derivation

Imputation

The data from the questionnaires were edited in the field during the enumeration process by supervisors in each governorate.

Derivation

Crops were coded according to the Indicative Crop Classification (ICC) for 2010. This classification was developed based on the Central Product Classification (CPC) (UN, 2004a). ICC provides only a broad-level structure for the classification of crops. Taking account of national conditions in the Palestine, some crops not included in ICC are identified separately or crops were identified in more detail than given in ICC.
