Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank during September,09/2015

 

 

Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index for Residential Buildings

 

The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings reached 100.34 with a slight decrease of 0.01% in the West Bank during September 2015 compared with August 2015 (base year 2013=100).

 

The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings decreased due to the decrease in the raw materials by 1.12%, while labor wages increased by 2.37%, and rental of equipments by 0.26% during September 2015 compared with the previous month.

 

Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index for Non-residential  Buildings

 

The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings reached 100.59 with a slight decrease of 0.05% in the West Bank during September 2015 compared with August 2015 (base year 2013=100).

 

The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings decreased due to the decrease in the raw materials by 1.08%, while labor wages increased by 2.37%, and rental of equipments by 0.27% during September 2015 compared with the previous month.

 

Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Skeleton Buildings

 

The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings reached 97.59 with an increase by 0.10% in the West Bank during September 2015 compared with August 2015 (base year 2013=100).

 

The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings increased due to the increase in labor wages by 3.80%, and rental of equipments by 0.22%, while the raw materials decreased by 1.32% during September 2015 compared with the previous month.

 

Decrease in the Road Cost Index (RCI)

 

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 109.69 with a decrease of 1.18% in the West Bank during September 2015 compared with August 2015 (base month December 2008=100).

 

The Road Cost Index for September 2015 decreased due to the decrease in the raw materials by 1.94%, and operating costs of equipment & maintenance by 0.95%, while rental of equipments increased by 0.14%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during September 2015 compared with the previous month.

 

Stability in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)

 

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) during September 2015 was almost unchanged from August 2015 and remained around 109.04 in the West Bank (base month January 2010=100).

 

Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 101.57 with a decrease of 1.25%. Water Networks Cost Index reached 112.43 with an increase of 0.52% during September 2015 compared with the previous month.

 

 

 

 

Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 107.11 with an increase of 0.23% in the West Bank during September 2015 compared with August 2015 (base month January 2010=100).

 

 

Note:

The data of the West Bank doesn’t cover those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.

 

NB:

1.       Gaza Strip data is not available.

2.       The difference in the percentage change in major groups of road, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
