Decrease in the CPI during October 2014 compared with previous month

 

The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during October 2014 decreased by 0.54% compared with September 2014 (decreased by 1.73% in Gaza Strip, by 0.22% in the West Bank, while it increased by 0.40% in Jerusalem J1*).

 

The CPI during October 2014 increased by 0.73% compared with October 2013 (2.93% in Jerusalem J1*, by 2.37% in Gaza Strip, while it decreased by 1.55% in the West Bank).

 

The CPI during the first ten months of 2014 increased by 1.78% compared with the same period of the previous year (4.10% in Jerusalem J1*, by 2.72% in Gaza Strip, and by 1.40% in the West Bank).

 

The change in Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Palestine for October 2014 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared to the previous month:
