Output value up by 7.6% and value added by 6.8% compared to 2010

The results of the surveys show that there are 116,939 non-agricultural enterprises operating in the economic activities covered. These economic activities are distributed as follows: internal trade activities 58.5%; services activities 25.6%; industrial activities 14.6%; construction activities 0.5%; transport and storage activities 0.4%; and information and communications activities 0.4%.

Some 77.7% of employed persons were waged employees: 78.2% of them male and 21.8% female

 During 2011, there were 314,926 workers employed in these economic activities distributed by economic activity as follows: internal trade activities 42.3%; services activities 29.5%; industrial activities 22.9%; construction activities 2.3%; information and communications activities 1.7%; and transport and storage activities 1.3%.

 The results indicate that the value of output of enterprises in the Palestinian Territory was USD 7,925 million distributed by economic activity as follows: industrial activities 35.6%; internal trade activities 33.1%; services activities 16.4%; information and communications activities 8.6%; construction activities 4.9%; and transport and storage activities 1.4%.  

The gross value added in non-agricultural enterprises in the Palestinian Territory was USD 5,268.1 million distributed by economic activity as follows: internal trade activities 42.0%; industrial activities 24.5%; services activities 18.0%; information and communications activities 11.3%; construction activities3.0 %; and transport and storage activities 1.2%.
