11.5% of educational establishments are regularly exposed to noise

Results showed that 11.5% of educational establishments are regularly exposed to noise, 13.4% are regularly exposed to smells, 8.6% are regularly exposed to dust and 5.6% are regularly exposed to smoke.

Around 219 thousand cubic meters of water are consumed monthly by educational establishments

 

The average monthly consumption of water in each educational establishment in the Palestinian Territory was about 89 cubic meters; the total amount of water consumed in educational establishments in the Palestinian Territory was about 219 thousand cubic meters per month.

 

The results of the survey revealed that 92.7% of educational establishments in the Palestinian Territory receive their water supply from a water network, while 26.1% purchase water tanks, 25.5% of water comes from water wells and 0.3% of water is taken from springs.

More than half of educational establishments are not connected to wastewater network

Results showed that 41.5% of educational establishments in the Palestinian Territory dispose of wastewater through the sewage network compared with 43.6% that use a porous cesspit.

Around 67 tons of solid waste are produced daily in educational establishments

The daily average of solid waste generated from each educational establishment in the Palestinian Territory was about 27 kg, with a daily total of around 67.1 tons generated from all educational establishments in the Palestinian Territory.
