Increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) during May,05/2019


The overall CPI for Palestine during May 2019 increased by 0.43% compared with April 2019 (by 1.89% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 1.12% in Gaza Strip, while it decreased by 0.14% in the West Bank**).

The changes in Palestinian CPI for May 2019
 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during May 2019 increased by 2.82% compared with May 2018 (by 2.83% in Gaza Strip, by 2.43% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 2.37% in the West Bank**).
