Findings confirmed that 3.3% of individuals are subscribers to public libraries. In the West Bank, this rate was 17.4% for females compared with 69.5% for males; while in Gaza Strip was 12.2% for females and 62.5% for males. There are 5 female ministers out of 22 ministers in the Palestinian cabinet, one female member in the executive committee for the Palestinian Liberation Organization since 1964, first female chief of Palestine Stock market Committee, first female governor for Ramallah and Al-Bireh. The results show that the total area licensed was 593.7 thousand (m<SUP>2</SUP>), distributed as 500.5 thousand (m<SUP>2</SUP>) for new areas and 93.2 thousand (m<SUP>2</SUP>) for existing<B> </B>areas.
